That would be nice. Laws seem easier to pass when when it collects money (tolls) rather than in the name of safety.Maybe illegal LED bulbs are next.

Not true. In CA you can have frame.I keep telling my wife Florida is just the next California. And here we are.
You made my day!Not true. In CA you can have frame.
The Cybertruck HAS to be the worst! I was driving today and a Cybertruck had me temporarily blinded by the lights in the lower part of the grill. This is in full daylight mind you, not sunny, overcast.Maybe illegal LED bulbs are next.
Nope. El Cheapo LED lights on JEEP’s. When I see it I immediately turn on high beams. They flash to indicate that it is not high beam, but I don’t care. Xenon’s have much stronger high beams. Same like they didn’t care about others when installing that crap. The Cybertruck HAS to be the worst! Just awful.
A few years ago all of a sudden it was a big deal here in AZ to have your plate blocked by a bike rack, luggage rack etc. Made the news, people getting tickets etc. But it didn't become a permanent enforcement policy, see it all the time. Seems reasonable to not have your plate totally blocked.
4%!!!!! That's a steal! Ours is 8.35% and my local community wants to add to it (cities, towns, & some special districts can charge sales tax in addition to the state by local referendums)Virginia is pretty high too. We have "personal property tax" that we pay annually to the county. Sales tax on a new car is 4%. Mine was $1,200 this year for a 2023 Cadillac, 2018 Cherokee and a 2012 Chevy truck. That's in addition to the plates.
Where I live, almost all traffic violations are technically Class C misdemeanors. They are disposed of through the pleading/fining process, except when excessive points are accrued, or certain Class A or Class B misdemeanors are committed. We don’t have an “infractions” system here. Most states have something on the books about obscuring the plate.. but shouldn't it be a traffic violation? Charging someone with an actual crime for a license plate bracket is insane.
Do you pay property tax every year?4%!!!!! That's a steal! Ours is 8.35% and my local community wants to add to it (cities, towns, & some special districts can charge sales tax in addition to the state by local referendums)
Yep! Property taxes to county, state income tax (5% that everyone pays) and sales taxes on most goods. No limit on sales taxes for a vehicle. (I should clarify that our property tax is for real estate only (building/land) nothing else).Do you pay property tax every year?
SC caps vehicle sales tax at $500 - but you pay property tax to the county every year. I would rather pay 8.35% once and be done.
Google says Florida does not charge annual property tax on vehicles?Yep! Property taxes to county, state income tax (5% that everyone pays) and sales taxes on most goods. No limit on sales taxes for a vehicle.
Neither does Colorado (where I live) just an annual plate/tag fee based on valuation/weight etc.Google says Florida does not charge annual property tax on vehicles?
In Florida, a second-degree misdemeanor is an arrestable offense that could end in jail time. Now, will police use judgement and write you a ticket? Probably. But they’d be within their rights to take you to jail. For a license plate bracket.Where I live, almost all traffic violations are technically Class C misdemeanors. EDIT: in relation to license plate frames, the identifying characters, including the county name and expiration date, cannot be obscured in my state.
