End Of The Line For Dodge Challenger and Charger

I'd like the engine in something else. Basically the same car since 2008, that's 15 years.
Right, that, low tech, "Thing" weighs 4400 pounds. I'd be, mildly, interested in a 3800 lb., big block Camaro, if I could see outta the windows.

Glad those gas guzzlers are going to be phased out. They are horrible for climate change, for one's retirement fund, and many "family man" types take money from their families so that they can indulge themselves with these $40k+ toys. Their cost of ownership is very expensive, and so now what will man-children buy instead? Lets hope they put the earth first, their families first, and their retirements first....3 firsts!

Too bad, the Challenger and Charger are still selling relatively well. The 300 sells ok, and with absolutely no advertising.
I have a 2006 Magnum R/T and love the car. If anything happened to it, I would consider a Charger as a replacement. 392 scat pack if I could find one.
I like the look of the 300S but they don’t offer it with the 392.
seems like with companies going “all electric” consumers are losing choices. No problem with EV for short to medium commutes, I prefer V-8 RWD while I can get it.

and I guess the earth and climate be ****ed...have you ever seen a picture of the earth from the space station? That think slice of blue is all the live supporting air we have. To run a v8 these days is to curse the earth, and one's grandchildren.

Dude, get a life.
”to curse the earth” ??? What caused the end of the great ice age? V-8 ICE were not around back then.
seriously is this guy trying to get me to say something that will get me banned?
A bit heavy-handed aren’t we????

How are we supposed to get around?
Check into what EV batteries are made of, and how the base metals are mined. I guess we will have to go back to unheated caves and eating berries to save the earth.

The MISO and PJM are at 504 and 443gCO2/kWh right now. Want to make a difference? Make sure the nukes stay open and maybe lobby your government to add a few AP1000's now that Vogtle is winding-up. You have LOTS of coal that needs displacing.

MISO will be losing quite a bit of coal real quick, at least in Indiana. 9,829MW gone by 2028, with 4,959MW either already shut down or shutting down at the end of the year. They’ll probably be replaced with gas, they tried building 2 nuclear plants in the 70’s-80’s but they only got partially started before giving up thanks to a bunch of legal BS.
