I'm confused!
You get tires for life but you buy Yokohama tires?
Can you explain further? Just asking.

Do you mean that, you're buying Yoko tires and you've been able to get your tire store to keep giving you new tire/tires within a years time frame due to needing repairs? If so, you're the exception to the rule. It doesn't work like that where I live. If you or I get a new replacement tire under the tire warranty, that new tire only finishes the warranty period of the original purchase date.

Where I live, the selling tire dealer isn't going to keep giving me a new tires for life unless I've purchased some particular tire warranty program/contract.

In my area, waaaaay tooooo many folks who have the "TIRES FOR LIFE" from their selling car dealer, are complaining about their dealer's not giving them all 4 tires at once, or at least 2 tires. The dealers are ONLY replacing a tire(singular) when the tire reaches the 2/32nds of tread life. And if the other 3 tires are not quite there yet...TOO BAD! Even with proper rotations and balancing, as we all know, tires will wear differently from one another even if only slightly.

It's not as though YOU think YOU need 4 tires for the upcoming foul weather season, and the dealer will oblige, NO WAY! And you have to pick from the selection that the dealer has, which may not be optimum for you.

And I'm not saying that there aren't some folks who are in fact happy with their "TFL" program.

My lifetime warranty came with the purchase of my vehicle at no extra charge. I do a lot of my own maintenance, such as fluids and filter changes, tire rotations, etc, and I don't really care if any of this voids my warranty. I'm not going to stop doing it because of that. If something happens that they won't cover and I can't fix it myself, I have a trusted mechanic I can take the vehicle to who is very reasonable.
