couple of n00b questions

i've looked around before i posted. plenty of info. i guess now i need a few suggestions for my rides what should i run im my...

01 accent 1.6L 90% highway 2500 miles / month use dino 5w30

02 avalanche 5.3L 80% city 1000 miles / month max dino 5w30

97 wrangler 2.5L 80% city weekend ride dino 5w30

i change the accent every 5k and use lucas, on the avalanche just use the oil life monitor. prolly change the jeep 1 time/ year.

Are you looking for different brands for each ride? Since they all use 5w30, it would make things simple to just use the same oil in all three. Valvoline Maxlife is highly regarded around here (it's a syn blend though). I'm sure GTX, Havoline, and alot of other dino oils would serve you fine as well. Which Lucas product are you using? AFAIK the oil treatment does little more than thicken the oil.

Need more information. Are you desiring to stay with the 5k oil change interval? Do yo want to extend it? What condition are your vehicles in? Have they been maintained religiously, or are they lacking?

Which lucas product are you using? fuel additive? If it is the oil add, Id reccomend against it, and there is a lot of information in the archives as to why. As for the fuel additive, it has hadmixed reviews here and there, but as a lubricity additive to your fuel, IMO it does the job, and is a worthy product.

i would like to extend the drain intervals on all. all have been maintained religously. i was using the lucas oil additive. i haven't searched it here yet, but will now. i usually use valvoline products, so maxlife or syn wouldn't be a problem. how far can i extend the intervals?
