Coffee - Your Current Brew

2nd of 4, 8 oz bags of a 4 variety sampler.
Tanzanian Peaberry. It's real good and smooth. I like the spice notes in Peaberries.

You know what Peaberries are right? :sneaky:

;)

I'm on Rand roast #1111 if I numbered them

I think that is the right picture.

Got in some Peet's Pepermint Mocha K-Cups and a Lavazza K-Cup Variety Pack. Includes 16 of each: Classico medium roast, Gran Selezione dark roast, Perfetto espresso roast and Gran Aroma medium roast.

First time Smoother than I expected but not as dark as expected but better than other Green Mountain
I'm back to Major Peet's for kcups at the moment. For me, it is extremely consistent. I have so much coffee to go through, I don't know where to start. Trying to go my expiration dates. Peet's always have shortest time. I think they give ~6 months or less whereas others can be a few years.

If you don't mind "not great" but really good for the money when you get a deal, we liked the Solimo dark roast. When I say deal, I'm talking like 21 cents a cup. Wife didn't dig the solimo french roast or either the dark and french roast Happy Belly so I don't get them anymore. Sometimes I want really good coffee and others I want cost effective coffee!

And if you are willing to wait for a deal and like espresso tasting coffee, Starbucks Italian roast is really good.

Made Eight O'Clock whole bean coffee in a French press. I carefully ground it using a burr grinder. The coffee was fresh, but not good.
I've had the same coffee years ago and it was very good, not this batch.

The Original.
I’m with you. I have tried to like it and just can’t.

it just sucks.

On the other hand, their 100% Colombian is pretty good. It has been my daily driver for years, but I’m a bit tired of it by now, and I’m looking into some other coffees to determine what my new “workday” coffee is going to be.

My mom bought me 2 lbs of Peet’s Organic Alameda blend medium roast for Christmas, and I really like it.

At around $.81/oz, it’s about double the cost of the Eight O Clock, but not nearly as much as the specialty coffee I buy, which ranges in price from $1.50-2.00/oz or more.

Two pods, ristretto draw each. Organic Cacao powder, dry milk powder, inulin, date sugar, boiling water, and cream. Cinnamon on top. Heaven and not even that sweet.

I like that blend from Peet's. I'd buy packages of 50 from eBay at a very good price.

Your lemon zest technique is worth trying. I vaguely remember it from many years ago.
I vaguely remember the lemon from a cooking show, I think. I was dubious at first. I think the cream made it nice, but try without (first)

We are just finishing up a bag of Peet's Italian Roast. Not sure what will be next. Maybe another bag of the same or the Starbucks Pumpkin Spice.
