Does it use the special ESSO LT 71141 fluid?

The 2011's use a Castrol fluid. I'm not sure what the 2012's use.

If I keep getting the MPG's I'm getting, these issues will become small potatoes. 57.6 mpg today over 25 miles coming back from work. I was up to 58 mpg at one point, but the in-town portion of the trip really killed my last mile. I can live with a few rattles and a notchy transmission if it keeps returning numbers like that...

Make sure you ask how much the better mtx fluid is before you get it changed if its on your dollar. It sounds like your dealership isn't out to rip you off, but I had 2L of GM's magic denotchifying trans fluid put in the Tracker and they charged something like $30/L... And it didn't really work anyways.
