FIFY.Vehicle emissions are irrelevant
I am not sure what you mean, why aren't they? And we wonder why younger generations are not interested in cars anymore.
I'm about double that age of maturity and still mostly opposed. The main problem for me is emissions programs being so easily abused by governing bodies as money grabs. Politicians can't help but see dollar signs if they can implement an "enforcement program" -- it's just in their DNA.it comes with age. Male brain doesn't reach maturity until 25years on most and some n***r.........
LOL. Be careful what you ask for as the law is explicit. Any vehicle with a VIN cannot have emissions removed.Arbitrary and capricious.
If it's not needed it's not needed.
I can't wait for Chevron deference to be ripped away from the epa like a bandaid dried to a scab.
I am not sure what you mean, why aren't they?
I see it as cars being too costly, too much of a commitment, not a value-add in their lives.
SEMA is about as toothless as they come for a trade organization. There is no way they got anyone to back down. How do I know? I've been on SEMA action committees on and off for over 20 years.IIRC SEMA caught the ear of some politicians who got the the EPA to back down beginning around 2023.
No one paid attention to the off road use labels or cared. I do remember installing intakes with that warning as a teenager.I agree people forget how bad cities were before modern emission standards never mind diesel buses and trucks belching out black smoke. That "for off-road use" label only goes so far

SEMA can toot it's own horn like no other, every meeting is like a giant circle jerk of happiness and booming business. The SEMA show is in big trouble too, lots of companies pulling out of what is fast becoming a giant car show and drift event.
I am not sure how all these local mom and pop shops get away with DEF\DPF system deleting. It is known that they do it. They must grease someones palms. It already is common for the EPA to shut emissions defeat companies down. It's been going on for years.

The regs are written where anything with a VIN falls under the CAA. However, the EPA for decades hasn't enforced this rule for vehicles converted into dedicated race cars.Aren't they for off road applications and use?
Right, so about revenue not the environment. If it was over the environment, it would be easy to shut those shops down.Ive been saying all along that the HD thing and the Diesel cases are test cases, and it is all about revenue, they've figured out they can make money from it, but i'd be highly surprised if they go after any little guys with little potential for a payoff in form of healthy fine...
The “past precedent” rule should strip all power from any agency that refused to enforce the law as written from day one. Ignored it for 10 years? They can’t start now. Centralized control for things other than defense are fully anti-liberty.the EPA for decades hasn't enforced this rule for vehicles converted into dedicated race cars.
But,but, but, that’s why we have start stop on gas engines! The EPA needs to ban drive throughs if emissions are an issue.
Arbitrary and capricious.

The base Cobb tune is legal. Just like Integrated Engineerings base tune. APR no longer makes a cat delete tune. The the issue is the cat delete. The customers are just as responsible as the tuner. Personally I think this is great for car manufacturers. Now they can sell a EPA compliant tune and charge people for it, Just like Cobb, but it would be legal.
