Howdy y'all,

is there another spec sheet for Castrol Edge 5w30 D1G2?

Or is this the most current/accurate:

https://msdspds.castrol.com/bpglis/FusionPDS.nsf/Files/4B7AB522794EE48E802581B700350E58/$File/BPXE-ANXN3B.pdf

Asking because of the deal I got on a WM clearance today

And there is this one, which has the same language, same specs, but slightly higher viscosity and hths:

Dated 29 march 2018, seems pretty up to date.

Castrol’s documentation has always been terrible. Most of their products have multiple, overlapping and conflicting PDS and SDS sheets. You never really know what the exact specs are coming out of the bottle.

100% correct

Probably don't want to get pulled over with that "Need For Speed" hat on!
Bruce Dern won a good driving hat that is less likely to provoke the fuzz in "Nebraska"...

(couldn't track down a pic of Woody actually behind the wheel of his newish truck)

Looking for opinions on this oil. There aren't many UOAs to go by, especially the new D1G2 formula.

So the second link I provided above, dated 2018, is for Castrol Edge "Professional" which is a different product. It appears that Castrol has yet to publish the updated Edge 5w-30 U.S. PDS.

If anyone has seen this PDS please post it. I'm interested to see what's changed from the 2016 published PDS.

Correct, “Professional” is usually their application-specific products (BMW, VW, etc.). Perhaps it’s just mislabeled as “professional”? Wouldn’t surprise me. Or maybe it was intentional.

Very true and it's always been like that. I was thinking of using Castrol Edge next, but can't find a current data sheet. As long as the bottles/jug state d1 G2 I know i'm using the latest. Would be nice though to have a PDS.

I may call them and see if they can send me a PDS. They are the worst when it comes to PDS's.
