These idiots didn't retreat when they saw the gun. If I observed the video correctly, it's only after the owner demonstrated it was loaded, and he was willing to use deadly force by firing it did they quickly exit. Best case results for the owner, although a lot of folks would rather see the thieves taught a more permanent lesson.

The thieves will do a better job of chosing where to rob. Gun free zones are a good place to start.

Watch the front camera view and put the video on .25 speed and you can see as soon as the owner draws and presents dark hoody starts backing up before any shots are fired. Grey hoody didn't fire too busy exiting.
Even from the other camera angle, as soon as the store owner knew something wasn't right, he moved to the right (behind that partition) and drew at the same time. That's why the guy in line with the opening didn't react but the other guy had the angle where he could see him and as you say, he started bailing out first.
Yes. And its easy to criticize. But he did OK. He actually might have gotten a measure of "cover back there". Seems chancy leaving concealment from one side to the other. And firing through the cover is not good. Who knows where the bullets went. He would not have been charged criminally for injuring someone outside but civil/-yea

Yep, many states to choose from! Just not Idaho, if that would have been Idaho, they would have been retired from robbery at the end of that exchange!
