I've been using MicroGard Select MSL57055 for a while now over the Fram FE7317 on my Subaru Ascent.
I'm guessing the supply issues are due the ongoing First Brand bankruptcy issues.

Maybe Fram is just going to kill the 7317 as it consolidates. Your “new” options are the 7712 or 6607 IIRC…Yeah but still, this absolutely shouldn't happen in any reasonably well-run company. A common size from a major OE supplier should NOT be out of stock everywhere
Wix and Purolator are garbage, most cheap jobber filters consolidate to the shorty 6607, Full isn't easy to find anymore, and most online options either have high shipping costs or high price due to "free" shipping
If I could get it at a reasonable price, I'd love to try the Purflux LS350 which is the 15400-RBA-F01

That doesn't make sense for the 7317, as it's still a very common filter size, and Fram makes it for Honda (the A02 is a PH7317)
Yeah, I know… but First Brands has done some very dumb things since taking over the reins of Fram.
Cutting corners to reduce manufacturing cost and raising prices to reap more profits ... but the hole they dug is way past getting out of now. If someone buys Fram, maybe they can build it back up again.

Does anyone know if Honda has switched to another supplier for their OEM filters?
I noticed that even though Walmart does have stock but they use your Zip code and if you're not in the area then they won't ship it. I just looked up the fe9688 along with the fe7317 and found that it was available from a store over 2 hrs away and also said it could be shipped, I went to the cart and updated the Zip but evidently they can't.
Yesterday I ordered a 6pk of the fe6607 since it's the only one available and it's already been shipped from NC. I've noticed this before where others can get things from Walmart but then in my area I simply cannot. I don't have a problem with Fram but try to stay with the Tough Guard and go up from there, honestly their other filters don't really cost that much more in comparison.
Yesterday I ordered a 6pk of the fe6607 since it's the only one available and it's already been shipped from NC. 7317s and Frams in general were thin at the local Walmart this past week. I haven’t bought Frams unless they were part of a package deal since the Synthetic Endurance filters went away.
I’m a Premium Guard guy but I was already at Walmart so I grabbed a Mobil 1 for the upcoming oil change on my Dad’s Passport.

I'll have to pay more attention next time I visit but seemed that everything for the most part was available up to the Endurance, they had the 6607 and 7317 beside each other but both slots were empty. I also had placed another order online for the fe9688 and fe7317 but they've placed it on hold. The fe6607's that I ordered should deliver today.
Walmart just cancelled that other order with the Endurance 9688 and the 7317 but they currently have the XG7317 on sale for $8.97 so I tried to order 2x 6pks of those and 2x 3 pks of the xg9688 but they wouldn't let me finish the checkout, I had to keep reducing the numbers for it to go through.
I know the Endurance is being phased out but what about the Ultra? It seems those are also having issues, at least with the Ultra you can find them on Amazon as they aren't Walmart specific.

Still finding them at my local Walmarts here in Louisville and also noticed they are now carry OEM Honda oil filters too...
If you must have a Fram and are really in a pinch, just pick up a TG at Lowes. They always have some in stock - usually with a dust film on the boxes.
