All Fram 7317 filters sold out everywhere

I can only speculate, but there's been some pretty rough weather in the NE mid Atlantic region recently. 7317 very popular application. Maybe add some supply chain issues, and just currently behind on store stock. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Walmart knows how to sell stuff, lots of it, and a big part of that is getting stuff on the shelf. My money is on First Brands issues are starting to affect supply.

Maybe the regional Walmart forgot to order them, it happens.
I have worked in a Wal-Mart regional distribution center and nobody forgets to order things like this. It is all racked and stacked by computer algorithm. If there is a regional shortage, it is a supply constraint and I guarantee a supplier manager at Wal-Mart in Bentonville is feeling heat on it.

Yeah but still, this absolutely shouldn't happen in any reasonably well-run company. A common size from a major OE supplier should NOT be out of stock everywhere o_O

Wix and Purolator are garbage, most cheap jobber filters consolidate to the shorty 6607, Full isn't easy to find anymore, and most online options either have high shipping costs or high price due to "free" shipping :sneaky:

If I could get it at a reasonable price, I'd love to try the Purflux LS350 which is the 15400-RBA-F01
Fram has historically not been ran very well since the turn of the century 💀

Maybe I should be searching, buying, and hoarding as many as I can because Daughter's Honda is going to need filters for the next 80 years.
Or, not worry about it and use what's available when change time comes.
Yeah, I'll take a nap because there will be filters at Walmart when I need them.

Fram filed bankruptcy. Walmart used them for TLE oil changes. They can’t get them and cleared out store shelves for customers oil changes. They are temporarily buying from local parts stores oil filters. Until new vendors can supply needs.

My local walmart hasn't had any 7317 filter on the shelf in at least a year, they have plenty of 6607s and have nissan OEM filters.
This is the easy solution. The smaller can size won't matter for the year or so until 7317s come back. Every 7317 we're throwing away at 5k miles generally has a LOT of capacity left. 6607s are the easiest, most sensible temporary (or not) measure IMO.

@slacktide_bitog Here are four options available today at my local Walmart:
