I have worked in a Wal-Mart regional distribution center and nobody forgets to order things like this. It is all racked and stacked by computer algorithm. If there is a regional shortage, it is a supply constraint and I guarantee a supplier manager at Wal-Mart in Bentonville is feeling heat on it.Maybe the regional Walmart forgot to order them, it happens.
I saw yesterday the wix xp which were known for being rock catchers are now rated 99% for 23 microns which is pretty good.
Fram has historically not been ran very well since the turn of the centuryYeah but still, this absolutely shouldn't happen in any reasonably well-run company. A common size from a major OE supplier should NOT be out of stock everywhere
Wix and Purolator are garbage, most cheap jobber filters consolidate to the shorty 6607, Full isn't easy to find anymore, and most online options either have high shipping costs or high price due to "free" shipping
If I could get it at a reasonable price, I'd love to try the Purflux LS350 which is the 15400-RBA-F01
not here in Louisville...plenty on the shelf....Fram filed bankruptcy. Walmart used them for TLE oil changes. They can’t get them and cleared out store shelves for customers oil changes. They are temporarily buying from local parts stores oil filters. Until new vendors can supply needs.
This is the easy solution. The smaller can size won't matter for the year or so until 7317s come back. Every 7317 we're throwing away at 5k miles generally has a LOT of capacity left. 6607s are the easiest, most sensible temporary (or not) measure IMO.My local walmart hasn't had any 7317 filter on the shelf in at least a year, they have plenty of 6607s and have nissan OEM filters.
^^^^This. Countless thousands of Hondas running around on jobber filters without issue.Or, not worry about it and use what's available when change time comes.
