All Frams in this size PH7317, TG7317, XG7317, FE7317 are all sold out completely at every nearby Walmart!

This is a very common filter! Most Japanese cars other than Toyota use the 7317 size filter. It's not some obscure application that they'd never make. It's a common size that should always be in stock at any store that sells oil filters.

The PH7317 is the Honda OE A02.

Yeah, maybe this is why Honda only wants you to change the filter every other OCI :sneaky:

You can wait, or use an alternative, of which there are several gazillion

Yeah but still, this absolutely shouldn't happen in any reasonably well-run company. A common size from a major OE supplier should NOT be out of stock everywhere o_O

Wix and Purolator are garbage, most cheap jobber filters consolidate to the shorty 6607, Full isn't easy to find anymore, and most online options either have high shipping costs or high price due to "free" shipping :sneaky:

If I could get it at a reasonable price, I'd love to try the Purflux LS350 which is the 15400-RBA-F01

What I use for our Honda, seems to be in stock locally here. To others points, maybe this is a good thing. I've been using the PH7317 for 10 years and this next OCI I've purchased O'Reilley MicroGuard filters. May just run with them or the Carquest filters going forward.

Amazon has them. I could order a TG for delivery tomorrow. But I am stocked up with Ecogards and OEM Honda filters. Also, I would use Wix ina second, even after takeovers, if I found them at a good price. No experience with Purolators since the eighties when I used them on an old Chevette.

Back when I used Fram Walmart was out often. They stock the same amount of many other sizes even though 7317 is standard in Honda and most Nissans.

As for well run companies Fram is not and Walmart struggles with inventory now too. There putting all there focus on delivery I think.
