Yes. The wife took off in it this morning with 11 miles on the odometer.

Having the Accord tinted next week., $200 Just enough to block the Summer sun and not attract the cops attention.

You are the first person I have come across who purchased a brand new car on ebay! Can you tell us the mechanics involved in this purchase? Was this a local dealer? Did you pay it via paypal?

All it is really is an advertisement. They list the car below msrp. I sent them an email and asked if they would consider an offer on the particular listed vehicle. Yes they said. So you hit the 'make offer' button. The car was already below msrp.
$21.870 to start with. We settled on $21,000. NC dealer. No Paypal, cashiers check.

I've been test driving more and more vehicles. I just tested an Accord LX this time. The LX felt very similar to the SPORT in terms of body structure & solidity as it should being the same car. But, the LX seemed to allow just a bit more outside sounds into the cabin, which I could hear in the rear seat area.

Does anyone know if the higher trim levels have more sound insulation between the LX, SPORT, EX, EX-L & V6's ?

The Accord LX wore 16" Continental Tires which were nice & quiet. Whereas the SPORT wore 18" V rated rubber, I don't remember the brand.

When I drove the SPORT(quieter IMHO), it was a very windy day with 40+ mph gusts of wind. When I drove the LX, it was a very calm sunny day. Both cars were driven on the same rout & hiwy.

I did find a video review on the Accord that mentions, that the Accord LX does have Honda's "Active Noise Cancellation System". So, this interior sound(not noise)difference between the LX & SPORT could be...
...production differences, sound deadening differences in trim levels that, I can't seem to verify OR, my ears!

You make it sound like it's a bad thing.

I would fix it out of pocket and then collect $1000 from the ext. warranty company for not using the warranty. This way, I'm still $500 ahead, compared to if the "money back" option did not exist.

what if it was last year instead of last month? There could be different variation on it which would make the warranty as if you had not bought it. You could have done the same thing by keeping the money in the CD and get it back at the end without having to beg for it from the warranty company assuming it was still in the business.

The point was you were trying to not use the warranty all the time.

If we all had a crystal ball and knew for sure that the repairs would never exceed the cost of the warranty, then of course none of us would buy the warranty. But we don't. It's an insurance policy, just like comprehensive coverage on your car. Each one of us has a different tolerance for risk, and we each take respective steps to deal with it.
