I believe my choice was taken away - or at least very difficult to make - around 1995.

You do not have a fuel problem. You have an OPERATOR problem. I estimate my Caddy has close to 60,000 miles on E10 with ZERO, repeat ZERO problems.

I'm happy for you. But one datum does not deny a systematic problem. If you spend some time on classic car forums, you'll find the introduction of E10 was a headache for many owners. E15 will simply reintroduce this problem to the same folk, with more severity.

The stupidity of this knows no bounds because 1) I'm not your government and 2) they're not forcing anyone to use it and likely never will because forcing people to would mean making any pre-2001 car obsolete by their own admission. I guess you're mandated to use E85 too and that should be banned because I am forcing you to use it in your non Flex-Fuel vehicle? Reality check dude.

I am being FORCED to run E10 now. It is illegal to sell non ethanol blended gas for cars in my state( others too ). Wouldn't surprise me if they force E15 on us next.

BTW - shouting others down and claiming you are right does not make you so.

"The agency also rejected a petition to require the continued sale of fuel with no ethanol (E0) or with the lower, 10 percent ethanol content allowed today (E10).

That petition, submitted by the American Motorcyclist Association and other groups representing small, off-highway and other unapproved engines, expressed concern that E15 would push E10 out of the marketplace in some areas. That would leave the owners with no choice but to risk harm to their equipment -- and violation of the law -- by using E15"
(Greenwire, March 23).

15% ethanol destroys 2 cycle.... good read.

This is a must see documentary that exposes a lot of the ethanol agenda indirectly:
