You are a scientist. I work with many. You assume that all is based on logic and fact. Except for your assumptions to create a hypothesis. Which can be wrong.
Has ever occurred to scientists and engineers that, like every profession, there are those who are very good and not so good. i.e. I've met lots of very smart scientists and engineers who are wrong. Often. But logically correct. Because they don't understand the context of the problem(s) to solve.
