2025 LSY oil consumption

My 2025 Buick Envision uses about a quart of 0W20 in 1600 miles. Is that ok?

It wouldn't be ok if it was my engine, but pretty sure your owners manual says it is.

My 2024 "LSV" doesn't consume any noticeable oil in 10k miles.

It is OK. as long as you check and top off as needed. You may get lucky and see useage drop after you put more miles on it (breaking it in now).

I would get it checked out, I think GM's acceptable amount of oil consumption is 1qt per 2000 miles. The engine might still be breaking-in and oil consumption will reduce with time. But I would at least get the dealer to perform an oil consumption test to verify but they might not wanna do it if the vehicle doesn't have a lot of miles on it yet.

I'd go to the dealer and have an oil consumption test done. I think 1 quart per 2000 is the limit.
