2024 Chevy Tahoe LM2 3,000 miles/65 hours on oil - 3,000 total miles/65 total hours - HPL 0w-20 Dexos D

Couple questions:

1. Are you concerned about warranty issues by using an aftermarket oil filter?

2. Is your 3.0 still not burning any oil? I’ve seen many complaints from owners about oil consumption in these engines.
No concern about the oil filter.

The engine has consumed 1/2 quart in 10,000 miles. Oil consumption is caused by the volatility of the 0w-20 oil. HPL is going to make a less volatile oil and we’ll see if it reduces oil consumption.

Thanks. I was thinking that as well.

Have you considered using a synthetic C3 5w30 or even a HD 10w30 to see if oil consumption goes down or stops completely?

I want to stick with the Dexos D add pack, so HPL will have to blend a 5w-30 or 10w-30 with the proper additives. If it reduces oil consumption, it could be a great oil for those with the Duramax 3.0L that have oil consumption issues.

any updates? Have a 21 with the LM2 and 69k miles and use M1 but looking for a reason to support HPL. Lol
