Do you have any concerns about the copper number being 93ppm? I would imagine its just copper still leaching from the oil cooler. It just seems a little out of line to me.

Yes, bypass will definitely reduce soot and I'm definitely not interested in installing a bypass filter system.
No zero concern, as high Cu is normal in the UOAs for these engines.
Yes. The 1.6 was a four cylinder inline diesel in the Cruise from 2017 to when they canceled the Cruise last year. The 3.0 is a six cylinder inline diesel. America never did get into small diesels like the Europeans but GM is more interested now.

No. The 1st Gen Cruze 2.0 diesel and 2nd gen Cruze 1.6 diesel both required Dexos 2 or C3 5w30 in North America. This was a global platform which was offered with different diesel engines and emissions based on where they were sold.
The 1st Gen as sold 2014-2015 and 2nd Gen was 2017-2019.
The Chevy Tahoe and Suburban will get the LZ0 3.0 diesel soon. The 495 lb-ft will be perfect for pulling a 9000-10,000 lb holiday travel trailer.
You are correct! Here are a few screen shots. Most the Dexos 2 was in 5w30 grade.
