This is a question for my curiosity the 2021 Santa Fe with 2.5 turbo are built in Alabama. The manual that came with the car recommends Quaker State but to my knowledge QS doesn't make a 0w30 in the U S. So what kind of oil did this car leave the Alabama plant with?

0w30 Euro LX is listed on Quaker State's site

I don't know where you can actually but it, but they appear to at least theoretically sell it in the US

looks like if you have the GDI they want you to use 0w20. If you have the T-GDI, they want you to use 0w30.

I would use a good 5w30 synthetic.

The proper way to look at it is that they recommend a 30-grade oil. The chosen winter rating will be dependent on your expected starting conditions, if it is below -35F or so then an oil with a 0W winter rating will be beneficial. If it is above 0F then any winter rating is acceptable.

That chart seems to tell me that the 0w-20 is okay for the NA engine, but add a turbo, and its not enough to get through warranty, or they would specify it.
Who thinks the bottom end blocks are different?

I don't. Difference would be the intake, exhaust, and lower compression pistons.

That confirms why i will not run anything less than a 30 in my engines.

I wouldn’t get too wound up over brands. Any 0w30 from a major brand will run fine. 5w30 will be easier to find though. If you are going to change your own oil then a two minute talk at the dealer just to verify that 5w30 is okay will make it clear.
