Sure it has the same construction - no disagreement there. But this stems back to post 53 when I asked how do you know that NG 1334 has more media area. Then you pointed me to a WCW video to show which had the more media, but he was comparing a different NG filter model, not the NG 1334 you were referencing. Then I said you can't always go by the can size to judge total media area. So the main focus is on total media area, regardless if the construction is similar or not.
I got fooled when thinking one PureOne model had more media area because the can looked bigger, but when I measured the media area on both, the can that looked like it would have more media actually had less. So that's why I made the comment about you can't always trust the can size. In your case, both the NGs and the MGS have plenty of media area IMO, even if one has a bit more than the other. And also if the media isn't exactly the same in all those filters, then comparing media area doesn't mean a lot. A media can perform the same or better and still have less total area, because the exact design of the media also matters.
