Here's what I ended up with:

2000 Pontiac Grand Am SE1 Sedan, Silver with grey interior.

2.4 liter DOHC 4 cylinder, Automatic, sunroof, spoiler, CD player, PW, PL, CC, tilt, air. 78,000 miles, new tires, recent brake job, recent battery, and a second set of tires and wheels included. $3,600.

The only question I have is that the brakes do screech a bit right before they get the car stopped, seems to get worse as the brakes get warmed up. The rotors were turned and they are OE pads a few months ago.

File the leading edge of the pad down? Scuff up the rotors with some sandpaper and make sure the pads aren't glazed?

Do you have the receipt for the recent brake job?

Is there a guarantee on the job?

Even if it's not trandferable to you, if you talk nice to them, they might take care of the problem...or not even notice that you weren't the one that had the work done.

The brakes were done at a GM dealership that is an hour and 15 minute drive (one way) from here.

It isn't worth it for me to pursue it with them. It will be quicker and easier for me to resolve the issue myself.
