What is your monthly gasoline bill these days?

$525 for two Chrysler 300Ms with 200 miles collectively on a daily basis. We moved to our city over 4 years ago to be close to family though we both commute 100 miles round trip. The cost of gasoline is hard on the wallet yet the time with family and having our son around his grandparents is...

Quote: The ridgevent overlaps existing shingles. I believe the game plan would be just to take a circular saw and cut a couple of inches horizontally below thee peak the length of the roof. Install the ridge vent over the shingles. This is correct. I'll also comment that when I had my Home...

Taking Control of Electric Bill, Hour by Hour

Taking Control of Electric Bill, Hour by Hour This article is over a year old but in general, I believe, is a new concept. Recently I signed up for the "Power Smart Pricing" option from my local utilities company and the meter was installed today. It allows me to pay the market rate of...

What oil viscosity for this scenario?

Manuals that I have or have had would suggest a 10w-30 for that temperature range.

    $58 for a radiator cap

Loved my little Catera when I had it. For the 2 1/2 years I had it, nothing ever happened until I went to trade it in (still under warranty) but the head gasket went out. It was a very comfortable car and my passengers always loved the heated seats all the way around. :)

    Maxlife FULL synthetic 10w-30 - 3,576- '94 Miata

Also note that TBN is not linear to miles driven. There's no telling how much longer this oil could have gone. I don't believe it was spent. Just my 2 cents.

    Valvoline syn power intervals

It will actually warm up more quickly if you drive it easy those first 2 minutes. Not to mention, saving fuel. I'm with a previous suggestion, go the 6000 miles (with all the conditions you mentioned earlier) and invest in the UOA. Then go from there. Otherwise, go with the Oil Life Monitor...

    Amsoil ATF

I've been using the Amsoil Universal ATF (in substitute of ATF+4) in our 2 Chrysler 300Ms for over a year now with no problems. 60K miles with a pan drop and filter replacement coming soon. UOA showed great results at 50K. Available in the transmission UOA forum here.

Who Makes What Filter? - One more time.

I've recently cross-referenced two Quaker State filters and their part numbers were identical to the Fram with the exception of the prefix. Currently they are noted to be Purolators in the original post?? Any thoughts? QS4967 & PH4967 was one set of comparisons.
