Why doesn't it surprise me that alot of athletes are broke only after a few years of leaving the sport that made them millions. The video says it all.

Mike Tyson is in the same boat.

I drive by his house on a regular basis and he has quite a impressive spread. He lost a ton of money in a car dealership several years ago when his so-called friends robbed him blind. He is one of the most charitable celebrities in our area. There is a Catholic school right across the street from his house and I heard (no confirmation) that he pledged a large portion of the funding for the building.

I hope that he can secure financing to retain his mansion. I think he's a pretty straight shooter.

well popular people like to live beyond their means.. in which a lot of americans do hence the reason why we rely on credit so much. eventually it will all come down on us. but you guys see that already

When the house was built it was advertised as costing $20 million.

At the time he probably could have paid cash. Should have.

That is what happens when you live beyond your means .Doesn't matter how much money you have and are foolish with your money.

I happend to see that Ed McMahon is facing the same fate.

Perhaps he needs one of those Publishers Clearing House envelopes ... HE MAY AREADY BE A WINNER!

Maybe he could be a ring announcer for evander to make ends meet too. "Herrrrres holyfield!"

Whats the name of that song that covers this, "a fool and his money will go seperate ways...."

Folks:

Its not how much you make. Its how much you keep from what you make.
