I have two gift cards for a regular non-syn oil change. I have been running syn for the last 3 years in both rigs.

Should I pass the gift cards on to friends?

It wouldn't be a problem to run the non-syn. But me personally I would have a problem with it because it's a mental thing. Once I put in the syn, I don't want to use anything else. But again, no ill effects.

no problems switching back and forth.

if it is going to bother you that much, send me your address, and I will mail you a prestamped envelope and you can mail me the gift cards, that way it wont cost you a thing and wont lose any money on the deal.

There are two components to your questions; the logical and the emotional.

Logical issue:
There is no reason not to go back to dinos; won't hurt anything in the slightest.

Emotional issue:
The underlying question is "why give this gift" of free oil changes? Are you doing it because it's of value and you like the person? Or, do you percieve the gift to be of no value, and it's an easy out to the gift-giving sequence?

With today's rising costs of lubricants, I'd say they're actually worth something. On the other hand, where is the serivce to be done? Is the risk of poor service outweighed by the value of the oil change?

Shouldn't you really be asking Dr. Phil these philosophical questions????????

I probably wouldn't buy those gift card to begin with, but if it comes free as a gift, then heck yeah, use it man.

A few oil change in dino wouldn't do anything in the long term for the vehicle. Just make sure you don't run it for 10k OCI or something ridiculous.

Use it in conjunction with an Auto-RX treatment. Be careful though so that your head gasket's don't blow like they did to the guy on the other thread who blew head gasket's on three cars after an Auto-RX treatment.

Maybe trade it for something you'd use on Swapagift.com?
It's a site where you can purchase, sell, or trade gift cards.
