Well, I went to AAP bit ago to dump used oil and ended up with 2 gallons of Delo CJ/SM rated 15w40 oil at $3:each

So that will go in next

Without knowing the source of the clacking, it’s impossible to say that oil will fix it. A decent stethoscope isn’t expensive (under $20) and cheaper, by far, than guessing.
