What a rude post. I am pretty sure it is a general question. What is the best oil filter for the $$$CASH$$$?

Amsoil EaO filters are the best for the money because they are the best.

The font this site uses for the dollar sign ($) does look an awful lot like an S. I had to squint to see it right myself.

If you have a Fred's Discount Store in your area, they sell Havoline filters (rebadged Purolators) cheaper than SuperTechs ($2.07 last time I checked).

I have to say Quaker State filters at Menards are great bang for the buck.

Menards is a mile or so from home.
They have an ok deal on PZ, QS or Formula Shell oils.
Its just $2 and change for a Purolator with a QS logo.
Plus "Hencho in USA!!!"

Ive also like Proline for the price, but all the Pepboys are closed in my area.

I bought 4 of these for my John Deere lawnmower for like $2.50 each. Otherwise the JD filters were over $9!

At the risk of getting a new butthole ripped open for me, I'm going to say the SuperTechs win for value. For the most part, you can pick up two of them for the price of one brand name filter. If you wanted to go Mobil 1, you can pick up 4 STs for the price of one of those (an M1).

Granted, I have _never_ opened up an oil filter but from what I've been reading, I'd rather change 4 SuperTechs before I cut open an M1 filter.

...my two cents, which may be worth less than even that.
