Got run off I-30 by a semi. I'm OK, bike is wrecked, and currently in Arkansas. Wife is fine, didn't crash, and is absolutely adamant it was deliberate.

No, and I rented a car in Little Rock and drove home.

Red OTR tractor pulling a reefer.

Did he just swing into you?

Pretty much. I was not quite halfway past the trailer when he abruptly changed lanes without signalling.

Were you doing something "wrong" or unexpected?

I was passing him, left lane of a 2-lane Interstate.

Thanks for answering. I'm glad too you're OK.

If you were cats you'd've used up 10 lives....EACH!

Seriously, what can a biker do in that situation? Flash your lights I suppose.

Glad to hear OP and wife is ok.

OR accelerate faster when passing.
That's one of the reason's why I'd seriously consider a liter bike as my next one.
Nothing scarier than not having enough power to accelerate out of danger.

Glad you and your wife ok. Sorry about the bike, not much consolation but it can be fixed or replaced if you choose. Your life and health are most important.

Nowadays no one wants to get into the trucking trade, so a lot of drivers have very little experience and reefer work (IMO) really sucks, so I bet your driver was a rookie. Glad you're ok. Were you riding your Sportster?

I was going about 80. Just how fast should I go to pass?

My wife is ADAMANT that he saw me, and ran me off the road deliberately-he was watching in the mirror, and swerved at me on purpose.

I think I'm done, and so is my wife.
