It's for my Dodge Caravan 2.5L. Price is not a factor because there's only a $1.50 difference between them. More concerned about filtering than flow. I can get the Baldwin & Wix in the tall FL1A size.... the Bosch only in the shorter (16) version.

Thanks in advance!

And why this three?

PureOne would be my vote for the best filtration, but I guess the Wix would do okay.

I'm not sure if I just want to try something different (or) I've been bitten by the dang BITOG bug that's telling me to experiment with new stuff that has a pretty good reputation. I'm buying bulk ... a 12-pk online that fits three different vehicles in my household... other two are 93 Ford Tempo 2.3 and 93 Plymouth Sundance 2.5. I figure within two years they will be gone.

I've used the Motorcrafts, Purolators & AC Delcos in the past 3-4 years.

You can get a Purolator Premium Plus in the FL299 size (tall version of FL1A) from Advance Auto. It's L40017. They will take your order and $6 and have the filter the next day. Nice filter too, with a Ford type threaded end bypass. Never tried to get the tall one in a Pure One, but they may have it available.

Bosch, Baldwin, or Wix..

And you get told Purolator ..lol.

Bosch of the three you asked about...might have the higher efficiency media.

Bosch doesn't have a FL1A size filter in their product line..

No silicone ADBV on the last few Motorcraft FL1As I used. That's why I'm looking to switch to another name brand.

Today, I purchased six Baldwin and six Wix online. Both brands are the same size as the FL1A. Will give these a try-out next.

777, I didn't realise FL1A filters EVER had a silicone ADBV...I thought only the filters ending in "S" (Like the FL820S and FL400S) had one...

I wonder what the "S" really stands for.
The "S-less" FL2005 have had the silicone ADBV in them for years.

The first FL400 filter did not have the silicon ADBV and was simply a FL400. The same holds true for the FL820. After the upgrade to the silicon ADBV the S suffix was applied to make sure everyone knew the difference. If it always had the silicon ADBV there will be no S suffix.

The Dodge uses a BT223 Baldwin, and there larger filters that would work, room permitted.
The Bt23 is Contains : Anti-Drainback Valve
8 PSI By-Pass Valve Fits : BMW, Dodge, GMC, Saab, Saturn, Suzuki, Toyota Automotive; Bobcat, Cub Cadet, Interceptor, John Deere Equipment
Replaces : Chrysler 2647020; Kohler 520-5002; Lister 201-55370; Onan 122-0645; Toyota 15601-13051 Thread : 3/4-16 O.D. : 3 1/32 (77.0)
Length : 3 1/2 (88.9) I.Gskt : G449-B
Related to : B243 (Long Version)
If you have room, I would recommend the B2HPG filter, for higher filtration.
