Honda atv, which k&n oil filter fits?

Hi Flo made the K&N that everyone loved in Thailand before K&N manufacturing was moved to the US. The Hi-Flo Filtro is still what I try to use.

I would never buy cheap, no-name brand oil filters for a high-performance powersports engine. The costs of the OEM filters are cheap enough that trying to save a $1 or $2 on a Hi-Flo or K&N makes no sense. If you don't have a dealer near you and shipping is cheaper for one of those two brands, sure. But even though I would not risk it. Certainly not from "AloneGoer"; whoever that is.
HiFlo makes K&N powersports filters, FYI. HiFlo is also the OEM manufacturer for a lot of powersports filters.

It’s not cheaping-out when you’re literally buying the same exact filter as the OEM with a different name on it.

Proof that Hi-Flo is making Hondas filters? The point I'm making is I don't know if they did manufacture that particular filter and considering how tiny these engines are versus their performance ratio trying to save a few dollars versus the OEM when I can buy either in the store makes no sense.

But hey, it's your engine and your choice. If Hi-Flo does make that filter for Honda and it's proven then go ahead and save a couple of bucks. I'm going to keep spending the $8 for my OEM filters and not worry about any of this.

I have compared the Honda DCT filter for my wife’s Rebel 1100 to a Hi-Flo side by side. Aside from filter media color (Honda is yellow, hi-flo is red), the manufacturing (pleat spacing and count along with end cap manufacturing) is identical.

Getting bent over the barrel by my local shady dealer (who has to order the dang things anyway, they never have them in stock) isn’t my idea of a good time.

I'm sorry to hear your dealer is shady. Mine is not and I have a great relationship with them, including quantity discounts.
