Hey gang.

How's it going. Need a little help here. I recently sold one of my cars. A 07' Honda Accord with the 2.4L, and now have a bunch of different oil filters that I'm wondering can be used on my 18' Forester 2.5L. Now the reason why I think they can be used on either car/engine, i when I go to Walmart's website they show the ST6607 can be used for either engine?? Now if this is the case, I have 4 WIX 57356 filter, which means I could use them on my Subaru and my brother-in-laws 20' Acura TLX 3.5L v6. :ROFLMAO: Talk about multi-purpose. Now I've read on other posts here that also the ST MP7317 by the way I have a few of these as well was made by the same company that makes STP. But when I look at the STP filters, the ones they recommend for the Subaru is a 4615, but the Fram ones are 7317? Now if you go to the WIX website both filter they recommend for both the Honda and Subaru, the 57356 and 57055 have the same gasket dimension except for thickness .045" difference, as well as flow rating 8-10 vs 9-11, and nominal micron 15 to 21. So technically I should be able to use either of the filters I currently have ST MP7317, WIX 57356, and ST6607 on either the Subaru or Acura right? Wanted to get your guys feedback. It's coming fast so Have a Happy Thanksgiving gang!!

Blessings,
Ron

7317 sounds familiar for subarus That blob of text is hard to follow. I went cross-eyed.

He Rand,

:ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: ok, lets try again then I have ST MP7317, Wix 57356 and ST6607 filters. Basically seeing if I can cross use them between my 18' Forester 2.5L and my brother-in law's 20' Acura TLX 3.5L. The reason why is if you go to Wix's website the 57356 for the Acura and 57055 for the Subaru are pretty much the same filter dimension wise, just a couple things here and there that are a smidge different, i.e. flow rate, gasket thickness and micron rating. Little easier on the eyes?
