Car No. 1

Turbocharged 1.6lt direct injected turbocharged tuned to 237hp from 177hp. BMW F20 LCI 120i N13 Engine

Oil change intervals are every 5000km or once a year (which ever comes first)

Occasional track use with hard cornering so oil pressure drop is a concern on my mind. Normal street driving but I sometime like giving it the beans, no cat, has WMI kit.

Operating oil Temp is between 95 and 120 C

Currently on Motul 300V 5w30 Power Racing. Its specifications are:

Viscosity gradeSAE J 300SAE 5W-30
Density at 20°C (68°F)ASTM D12980.859
Viscosity at 40°C (104°F)ASTM D44564.0 mm²/s
Viscosity at 100°CASTM D44511.0 mm²/s
HTHS viscosity at 150°C (302°F)ASTM D47413.5 mPa.s
Viscosity indexASTM 2270165
Pour pointASTM D97-48°C / -54.4°F
Flash pointASTM D92232°C / 449.6°F
TBNASTM D28967.97 mg KOH/g

Car No.2

Turbocharged 1.6lt direct injected turbocharged BMW F30 320i ED N13 engine 170hp stock.

Oil change intervals are every 8000km or once a year (which ever comes first)

No track use. Normal street driving but I sometime like giving it the beans, has cat.

Operating oil Temp is between 95 and 120 C.

Currently on Shell Helix Ultra ECT C3 5w30 its specs are:

Open to all oil recommendations from Motul and Luqui Moly. Car no.2 oil must have LL-01 or LL-04 specification.

Owner's manual of both cars recommend 0w30, 0w40, 5w30, 5w40 viscosities.

Car No. 3

Ford Fiesta Mk7.5 1.6 105hp MPI

Mostly short distance driving, occasionally driven hard, no idea on oil temp.

Oil Change interval is every 10000km or 1 years (which ever comes first)

Currently on Shell Helix Ultra Professional AF 5w20 and its specs are:

Open to all oil recommendations from Motul and Luqui Moly. Car no.2 oil must have BMW LL-01 or LL-04 specification. Car no.3 oil must have the required Ford Specification.

Thanks for your kind answers,

Alp

I would do LL01 in those that allow it, usually can't beat that if it is allowed. The oils you are currently using are pretty great though. Do you feel you need something better? If anything I would go with a 0w40 or 5w40 version of the same oils you are using if they are available, at least for the car that sees the track days.
