What happened to fast food accuracy?

MSG is naturally in everything like cheese, tomatoes, mushroom, yeast, etc. You do not hear the "Chinese Restaurant Syndrome" from high end restaurants ever, because they use better ingredients, charges more ($20-30 per dish), and don't abuse them like the low end mom and pop places competing in prices use them for. It really is a sodium overdose as MSG doesn't taste salty like salt does and it is very easy to OD MSG.

I once heard of a ramen place in NYC that said "We absolutely uses MSG and we are proud of it". That place was always full of people and has good review.

Yesterday I got a MSG OD from the BOGO deal of McDonald's Sausage McMuffins. Can't taste anything for the whole afternoon despite 1 cup of black coffee and 1 cup of plain black tea afterward.

MSG got a bad rap from overuse. All it takes is a tiny amount. Adding it like salt is way too much.

Geez. I don’t think they will go far.

Are those Barbie dolls the new ones with interchangeable gender modules? 🤣
I'm not "offended" by interchangeable gender modules, but Barbie was really a Gen X relics that kids don't care for these days. Desperate measure for new market I guess? Sorry the girls these days are playing with LOL dollz.

Have you been to The Crack Shack in Little Italy for Hipster fried chicken? They proudly brag about their use of Jidori Chicken
I have not, but follow them on social media. They have a location in Encinitas also & I work in Carlsbad...but if I go without my gf, I might end up single or missing 😂

No idea...I just looked at her and said, "No, it's an infection control problem" and I walked away.

Haven't been to the Encinitas location. But should have much more parking than the non-existent parking in Little Italy.

Needs the punch of msg, but they have several sauces to dip the chicken in for additional flavor. If you get their Bloody Mary, mix in additional "Baja Hot Sauce", makes the Bloody Mary 10x better.

Amazon seems to have a weird philosophy that if you're been working in the warehouse for several years, there must be something wrong with you and as soon as productivity drops off just a little, people end up getting fired. Now they've fired so many people, they say that people who have been fired can reapply now as they've run out of fresh meat.
there’s a revolving door at Amazon Fullfillment - if you’re fired, a temp agency will get that person back in from what I’ve heard.

Wouldn't happen when he was still alive.

BEFORE the pandemic, I was at a Txx Hxxxxx's and ordered a breakfast sandwich,
that's a bagel with egg and sausage patty.
When I got home and looked, it contained NO patty.
Another time, they told me "they're out of bagels".

Whether pandemic or labor shortage, things are changing and people will adapt / one way or another.
Soon they'll be out of customer's. I've given up hope of them delivering a quality product. It's all tied to profits. Maybe twice a year I'll buy some donuts from them. I can make a cup of coffee at home for one 1/10th the price maybe even cheaper.

Given the price of gas these days, I'm glad I'm a cheapskate 🤣🤣🤣.

Well if you are making 100 tons of fried rice a year in a factory maybe you need 100 lb of MSG.
I think they use those in restaurants. I remember ordering food at a place that had a small kitchen and you could see the guy grabbing all the ingredients, I think he sprinkled a liberal amount of various spices on the food and one of them was probably MSG.

It's pretty crazy too, they don't have a person in HR fire people. The computer sees that productively is low and it automatically fires the person, no one in HR to talk to, there's just a small handful of them. So if someone is injured or late or some other valid reason, they still get automatically fired even if they were a top performer before, like one strike and you're out.

Yep, sounds a lot like Uber and Lyft - a few one star ratings as a passenger, unless it was egregious enough to warrant you being off the platform(like killing someone or harassing the driver) is a BFD, a slap on the wrist.

Now, as a driver, one 1 star rating is enough to deplatform you - and those companies generally act customer-first.

The issue is in other areas you have people who never leave/move on to other things (besides becoming manager) because where do they go? Pretty much every "entry level" job these days requires previous experience. Where do you get experience if you can't get your foot in the door? These people end up just jumping from minimum wage job to minimum wage job.

Maybe so. Not anymore.. Major factories that start people at $18-30 an hour are so desperate for employees they are waving drug tests. The fast food places are running at 60% staffing with people that will have a new job within two weeks if they are not in jail.

I got a free hashbrown the other day at Waffle House. Of course it was just a cook mistake and only two parties were in there so it was give it to us or trash it.

And the guy running the joint was new, and asked me how the tea tasted because that was the first batch he'd made. He nailed it, and I told him. His face lit up like a kid at Christmas. It was an oddly joyous occasion for all!

There was another guy in here before complaining about not enough mushrooms on his sandwich, you guys should team up.

Those 2 are going to have a hard time with life . Is it the schools , parents or social b.s ? All 3 I think . This feel good crap is creating 10's of millions of minds of mush .
Perhaps they'll become proper housewives.
