What happened to fast food accuracy?

OK, so we established the system has flaws. If the flaws bug you and you continue to go back, who's fault is that?

Here's why people think I'm nasty (which I'm not).
1) Stop being so willingly wounded. Those are numbers driven businesses. They owners probably can't care about you.
2) We now have "documented experiences" of all the holes in their business model. So grow up and deal with the realities.
3) Maybe you just like grousing over fast food foul ups? You expect them to be like the commercials? Things change, sometimes for the worse.
4) Also remember there have always been parents who NEVER let their kids work in a fast food restaurant. Finding kids to work has always been a challenge.
5) It really is funny to hear people who select to eat from the bottom of a dumpster complain about inconsistencies. If you're so superior (all the work ethic generalities) and knowledgeable (hey, we're BITOGers) realize the fast food thing, while a heart warming throwback to your childhood, has run its course.
6) McDonald's in Sweden have great tasting burgers and coffee.

edit: I went through 7 times with that breakfast sandwich to see how stupidly and wastefully detached the "manager" was. I didn't do the 7 to be cool or mean or anything.

As metaphors go, fast food places are the feces strewn basements of neglected insane asylums.
How detached are you from making your own food?
Ok... why must a parent find work for an adult............. pampered kiddies.

I came to this conclusion quite a few years ago, before the worldwide pandemic. I started doing more and more for myself and actually enjoyed doing it and learning. Mainly mechanical things .

They used them all up .

Yeah try getting a hot water heater installed or anything.
Crazy prices and excuses for bad service and workmanship.

This is really nothing new, maybe it happens more now but I've been getting orders screwed up going thru fast food drive thru's since the beginning. We had a McDonalds years ago that was really bad about that, now they have cameras that take your pic when you place an order.

What I really hate is when they screw up the drink I order, I always order root beer for my wife, it's the only one she likes and I don't drink pop, or not getting sauces.

Here in MD-DE-PA I find the older workers replacing the younger ones.
And I am not saying younger people are lazy. Most people today are lazy.
Maybe the tech savvy younger folks are floating from job to job because they can.
All the nurses I have ever known float around all the time because they can.
Always looking for greener grass

It is almost comical nowadays. My wife and I treat it like a game now. "What did you get?" I always order off the "dollar menu" anyways so if they are going to mess it up, I usually get an upgrade in sandwich, etc. and someone is getting my two dollar McChicken sandwiches. Lol!!!

It has gotten to the point where the only hope you have of receiving the food that you want is to order something completely different.

When I worked at a McDonald's , they ran out of buns. I don't even know how that happens.
I can top that. I was at Burger King a few weeks ago. Trapped in one of those drive thru's that you can't get out of. I get up to the box to order and the girl states that they are out of "burgers". We a had a funny conversation for a few minutes while I was stuck there about how their claim to the "King of Burgers" thrown was maybe a bit of a paper tiger. If you name yourself "Burger King" the ONE thing you should never run out of is **** burgers. I left without ordering anything.

They actually have a really good chicken sandwich right now 😆

Yesterday my local Wendys screwed up most orders.
I walked in to return my drink and an angry mob was returning wrong orders.
I didn't get upset but an elderly manager said sorry I am training 3 new workers.
She was doing the work of many, and I felt sorry for her. In my case I'd tell them to go home as they created even more work for her.
Skillset of playing with phones and nothing else. Don't know how to cook, never alert to observe and learn. Never taught.
Just mindnumbing blobs; fingers swiping at instruments of extinction.

Up here, the fast food assemblers seem to be pretty good really. We tend to hit a burger place about once a week during ski season and all our relatively simple orders have been fine this year. We tend to order ahead on their apps which might help?

Didn’t Joe Pesci point this out, with inimitable style, in “Lethal Weapon 2”?

Hahaha...my wife just rolls her eyes, I know...I know...it was funny the first 50 times you said it. And please don't teach the children that.

It's people working their minimum wage jobs that don't care about their work.... so it boils down to work ethic.

Yes, I had that minimum wage fast food job back in High School.

Pesci was talking about drive-throughs. Now it doesn't matter whether you order in the drive-through, while getting to-go inside, or eating inside—his rant applies for all of it.

A few years ago I chewed on an idiot at Hardee's after going over my order for a steak and egg biscuit with him repeatedly because I noticed the expected total cost was off. He gave me a sausage and egg biscuit. At the time I wasn't eating any pork. At the same restaurant I usually ordered to dine-in and invariably my order would be given to me in a to-go bag. Dumb stuff.

Amazing how these inaccuracies never work in your favor.
It did for me at Culver’s (sort of)

I ordered a burger for sit down crew all looked to be 14,
15 minutes later no food asked and got a run around and said they lost my order and would re-order it,
Another 20 minutes fresh batch of soup incomplete?

They finally after 45 minutes got a fish sandwich, cheese curds, chili, root beer and a shake

Didn’t eat the shake or soup that night as it was too much food and enjoyed them the next day.

Worth 45 minutes? Not sure but was glad to get food and didn’t care it wasn’t what I ordered.

More irritated with waiting, could have given whatever they wanted off the menu so long as it arrived more quickly.
