What are you eating right now?

I made a Scotch egg meatloaf last night.

Venison, pork, beef, eggs, peppers, carrots, green onions, chopped tomatoes, parmesan, eggs, and three hardboiled eggs for the Scotch part, also herbs and spices, including marjoram, thyme, and sage but excluding oregano.

Ingredients

Sloppy mixture

Shaped loaf coated in panko for a nice crust

An hour into baking I brushed the meatloaf with cream to help the browning of the crust along. I baked/roasted Yukon gold potatoes with the loaf. I made a sauce with the juice. Here is the product once it was done baking:

the avocado tasting top notch the last few I've had.

Indeed I was going to mention they are back and the prices are nice

@GON Fred Meyer for whatever reason has the best avocados. TJ/SafewayGreen Barn suck.
When I was a teenager living in South Florida in the early 1980s, avocados growing and then falling from trees was very common. The South Florida avocados were big like a grapefruit. These avocados didn't ship or keep well like California/ Mexico avocados, but they were plentiful, plump, and available for no cost.

Had the same with a lemon tree in the backyard. The lemons actually looked like oranges, and were as big as oranges. A somewhat mild lemon. They fell like crazy and were almost a nuisance. We would juice them and freeze the juice in ice cube trays, and use the frozen lemon cubes instead of ice cubes in drinks.

Ditto here brother. I grew up in Fullerton CA. My uncle, James Bacon, a botanist has two avocado varieties under his name (The James and the Bacon).

We had a Meyer lemon tree in our yard.

My brother is the king of citrus.

So it's totally painful to PAY for avocados ($3.99 sometimes!!!!!) and citrus and to never ever taste a real apricot in WA state.

Because oregano is an anticoagulant. Why are you coagulating without oregano?

I still have meatloaf. So it's going to be a slice of meatloaf on a ham and cheese.
On my way.

I chopped some of mine up a bit, sauteed it in some butter/coco fat with some classic curry spices, a little vegemite for ausumami and mixed it with the wife's Nippon curry.

The bomb.
