What are you eating right now?

Tuna wrap

Inedible Shanghai fried rice.

Worked and ate in many places all over the world for decades . ...find the food everywhere in Manila so disappointing..simple things like fried rice a complete and utter fail.

Have to decide if I will try another restaurant for dinner, or just buy a couple of snicker bars for dinner. By far the worst food city I have ever eaten at on any continent, I have eaten in every continent with the exclusion of Antarctica.

You could eat at McMurdo, after you get a clearance and a few organs removed like gallbladder and appendix. After that, whatever you eat aint staying with you very long.

Ribollita, Stage II: Last night I completed the Ribollita I started a couple of days ago. The flavor sure blossoms after an overnght stay in the fridge. I'm not sure if I'd use rye bread again, although it wasn't really objectionable, but in keeping with the nature of la cocina pobre, I used what was on hand.

I admire your patience! Nice

Google reviews, in person recons, etc.

Seems not to matter- the food holistically is so far off azimuth. Some peers recently went to a Google 4.8 rated high end steakhouse for a celebration. 4.8 is a monster big rating. Six people, all six ordered different main courses. Every meal was reported as brutally bad. No idea how the place had a 4.8 out of five rating.

Two weeks ago on a Saturday afternoon went to highly rated Italian restaurant in a prime location. The seafood was spoiled. How can a high end restaurant have spoiled seafood on a Saturday afternoon? I imagine Sunday night and Monday a restaurant might serve seafood that is three days old- but Saturday afternoon all the old seafood should have been sold NLT early Friday meals, worst case scenario.

I ended up eating a snickers bar for dinner last night.
