What are you eating right now?

Wow, I sure could go for a piece of this limited-edition bacon right now!

At California Pizza Kitchen, which has been a refuge in Manila.

Ordered their most expensive pizza on the menu. Thin crust crispy margarita pizza. Last two times decent.

Today the pizza arrived with dough uncooked in the center. Massive flop. The last picture is the dough, not the cheese.

Easily the worst city in the world for food.

Nearly puked.

So yeah some locals for sure don’t know good foods and in foreign countries forget online reviews. Girlfriend out of the question.

That leaves one option. Expat foodies. If you find one.

Brown Rice & Almond Horchata, which I made last night and am enjoying very cold this morning along with a cup of richly-made Rwandan coffee, straight up, not so cold.

The horchata was made with organic brown rice, raw, organic, unpasteurized almonds, two sticks of Mexican cinnamon, and pure vanilla extract. The mixture was sweetened with two small, pitted Medjool dates, and a pinch of kosher salt was added to enhance flavor.

I just had a large iced coffee and medium fries from McDonald’s for lunch. When the Toronto Raptors get more than ten 3 pointers in a game, McDonald’s gives out free fries the next day with a $3 purchase. I have taken advantage of this deal 23 times now during this basketball season. I LOVE their fries 😍
