What are you eating right now?

Chik fil A is the best restaurant in the Greater Salk Lake City area, with COSTCO food court being a distant second. Some areas are full of awesome dining, some places like SLC simply are not. Can't explain it. When my Wife and I go to California we are always blown away with some many outstanding restaurants.

Big fan of Chik Fil A for quick dining. Really nice chicken sandwich, clean and wonderfully run stores. Of note, IIRC Chik Fil A franchisees are only allowed to operate one location--- the franchisee has "all his skin in the game" for his/ her location.
I think Bellingham city council is fighting chik fil a for political reasons. Stupid. East side King, Kirkland and Bellevue chik stores are not too far apart. Anyway I think the store in Mt Vernon/Burlington will be done first. I was just using that as an example.

I can't exactly explain it either. Look at the PNW. Even Seattle, the restaurants have SUCKED for decades. It's like once bad restaurants get established, they stick. Of course there are exceptions, and it IS changing. We have a few good places, even Italian like Storia Cucina in Bellingham has great food.

Broke a 13-hour fast today with pizza. Not wanting to break my streak of abstinence from wheat flour, I opted for a cauliflower crust. Tomato sauce, mozzarella cheese a fresh mushrooms. Dessert was a few chunks of each, cantaloupe and persimmon; going for OMAD.

There's more than 4 types of oregano? I've got Mexican and regular European stuff but what are the others?
From Rancho Gordo, I have their regular Mexican oregano and the wonderful Oregano Indio. From the Mediterranean area, my spice cabinet includes Greek and Turkish oregano. From Italy, there's Calabrian and Sicilian oregano.

I just tried Marie Sharp's Noplales-Green Habanero sauce. Its ingredients include prickly pear, also known as nopal, paired with key lime juice and green habanero to create a nice citrusy flavor. The sauce has a medium heat level which is very pleasant for me. Ingredients are nopales, green habanero peppers, vinegar, onions, lime juice, salt, and garlic. Another winner from Marie!

@Shel_B

If you could only have one of the four oreganos, which would you choose?

I went across the border to Niagara Falls NY today and found something I have been wanting for a long while now. A dill pickle flavored mayonnaise! I tried it on a Junior Chicken Sandwich from McDonald’s and it’s really tasty! 😃
