What are you eating right now?

You won't see me decorating my slop with flowers. *grunt grunt*

Why do people always say they do not have time to cook? Then they defrost and toast their waffles, frozen sausages and meat patties, toaster strudel, mix instant mashed potatoes, and heat a can of gravy. How long does all that take?

This is an 8-minute meal, about 1/4 of the total amount I cooked for future meals. I managed to feed the cats (their food) in between turning my slop over a few times.

By the way, the colors of the images come out much better with the neutral-colored placemat. With my usual brownish placemat color balance veers into unattractive blueish.

Tonight I made an Americanized version of Greek lamb schwarma sandwiches. Home made Tzatziki (extra garlic), lettuce, onions, tomatoes, and herbed ground lamb patties on toasted Costco stadium rolls. For the side it was Israeli style salad. I messed up and used balsamic vinegar in the salad so it was not as pretty as when my wife makes it.

No pics as several magicians made it all disappear. My first option tonight was to make Sloppy Joes, but I found the lamb in the freezer.
Sounds awesome. I'd love to get the recipe for the homemade garlic sauce from you.

Tzatziki sauce is super easy. Grate or finely dice half a cucumber onto paper towel and squeeze as much liquid out as you can. Mix with cup of plain yogurt, juice of half a lemon, 1 to 3 cloves of finely minced garlic, a teaspoon or so of dry dill (or fresh if you have it), and a few tablespoons of olive oil. Salt to taste.

If you use dry dill, try to let it sit a half an hour for the dill flavors to come out. Experiment with the ratios to your preference.
