No pics, but I made a super simple main dish of diced butternut squash sauteed in olive oil. After the squash was well cooked, I added frozen corn and kidney beans and seasoned with various herbs and spices. I guess you could call it a variation of succotash.
It took me all afternoon to get this comment. It was gurgling and bubbling away in the back of my mind all day. Kind of like Mr. Creosote's belly.

Sourdough
Just as a footnote, batard means in French what it almost sounds like in English. It also means a short or oblong loaf. During its evolution French has often dropped the letter s where it was silent in French. That's how Old French word bastard became batard. I suggest the French should also drop the letter d at the end of batard because that's also silent.
