What are you eating right now?

Taco Bell for me tonight. Parents made homemade chicken pot pie. I cannot stand pot pie. I tried it just to make mom happy and I couldn’t do it. Pot pie isn’t my thing. The texture of the inside is what is a no go for me like the sauce or whatever they put in there= no good. Very bland usually too all of them the ones you buy in the store and the homemade ones.

Crème Caramel, half pepperoni pizza and half BBQ pulled pork.

Don't remember the name of the appetizers but the one on the left is an egg yolk on top of avocado, some kind of bacon thing, next one is some type of spicy jam and finally a pepper with a peanut dipping sauce.

Wall drug hot beef sandwich. Dr pepper. 20.58 including tax.

I love hot beef sandwiches, though that seems a bit pricy. But then again, I don't eat out much.

Took Granddaughter out for her birthday lunch yesterday. www.redanchoriowa.com/
She ordered a meal with shrimp, crawfish and crab legs. Had potatoes, corn, eggs and an order of fries. I had 1 beer as well.
She loved the crawfish! Got 1/2 LBS of each seafood. I just ate off her meal and still some we did not consume!

Cost with tax was $36.00 and some change. I just gave the waitress a $50.00 bill and called it good.

Seems kinda plain and expensive. How did it taste?
Taste was better than it looked. A bit bland, but overall, for being on the interstate, sure beats most any other "quick" offering. Have the sandwich on a real plate and real silverware was a nice touch. The dining room is more than decent for an interstate tourist destination. I would not hesitate to stop and order this sandwich again while on I90. Sandwich cost before tax was $15.99. Add a drink and tax that is why the entire tab came to 20 and change.

In Lacy, WA Wednesday I had a regular size bowl of pho soup. 14.99 before tax and drink. A Pepe (thin sandwich) and chips at Jimmy Johns at FT Lewis is almost $11, and that is without a drink. When comparing the beef sandwich to the Pho soup and Pepe sandwich, I think the beef was a decent value.

Walking out of Wall Drug, I saw a bag of locally popped kettle corn. $9.99 before tax. That I thought was pricey.

JD,

Sounds like a great value for $36, including seafood and a beer. That is awesome a young lady from Iowa will eat crawfish, I thought a pork tenderloin sandwich was a risky as it comes in Iowa. :D

His meal sounds awfully well-priced compared to what I spent in post #4,069.

She loves sushi as well, GON. This place just opened and she wanted to go there. Says crawfish may be her new favorite food. Less expensive than sushi, so I am all for that.

Have to remember this is a country raised Iowa girl. Loves to fish, catch frogs, shoot guns and go squirrel hunting too! My Daughter loves when we bring home squirrels. She grew up eating them, her favorite meat as a child!

Some rice I steamed, salsa from the co workers wife(real hot way she and Inlove salsa). And some chicken I did on grille. And a beer of course
