Relaxing for a few minutes before my shower and night time tv show and bed. I worked a lot today. I’m doing an engine recall on a Tundra plus running around doing 100 other things so I’m exhausted and I stayed late to do the salesman’s brakes on his car too for some extra money.

I just finished slicing half of a 3-lb chub of pancetta into portions that will be frozen for use in various dishes I'll make throughout the year.

I use the pancetta in Ragù Bolognese, other pasta dishes, chilies, and the like. The large remainder will be frozen and used after the frozen portions have been consumed. I've found that it'll last more than a year when properly frozen.

Going to finally have breakfast.
Was driving truck from 2am till just now, its parked, and an employee should be here in 5 minutes to jump in it, and go do a trip.
These 2 trips today are too long for any 1 driver to legally do, so I did the 1st trip, she will do trip 2.

My ex wife and I tried to get our dog (a rescue from Greece, mix of Golden Retriever and hound) trained but a dog behavior specialist even told us he was untrainable. So we just put up with his odd aggressive behavior all these years (got him in 2015 at age two or three) He actually bit the contractor who was working on her house a couple of years ago (the guy deserved it!) He’s getting more calm in his old age now and honestly, he’s a sweetheart 99% of the time. I’m about to spend a month staying with him while my ex goes to the DR for the month of February and I’m looking forward to my time with my bud

Just finished lunch. Might go out car shopping, or truck shopping, not sure which (but I know what I'd rather buy). Tired of musical cars.

Wife gets home late, but the son wraps up work early. Maybe we'll spend some time together, not sure doing what.

Been playing with some audio amplifiers. Wish I had kept an old CD player around, just for making music to pipe into my little experiments. Just having fun, doing something for once as a hobby.

Just bought a copy of Stephen King's "Desperation" a novel I read when I was in my teens and can't seem to locate my copy of. Would like to read it again, so Indigo to the rescue!

Elected to not go out--been tempted to look at Frontiers then finally came across Molakule's thread about his grenaded rear diff, decided I can't afford the risk of some random repair after depleting the war chest.

At least the weather warmed up a bit today, so that's a nice change.

I took my grandmother to town, dropped her off at the barbershop for a hair cut, then I went and got groceries. Got back to the barbershop and she was 3/4 done, so i sat and waited for her to finish up, then I dropped her off at her best friend's house. I went home and put the groceries away, took the dog for a walk, and just sat down in front of the tv.

Took a shower then power went out. Dried off dressed and was rolling gennie out power came back. Ate some runch. Sitting in the sun napping with dorg listening to Bob Dylan’s best album ever. Desire. Life is good.

I’m waiting for my girlfriend to wake up and then today we are going to Niagara Falls to check out the frozen river below the falls. In my lifetime it hasn’t frozen over like this so I need to see it in person and take photos and videos. As many of you know, after I retired I started doing walking tours at the falls so I like to know everything that’s happening there

Apparently, they recently freed the trapped freighter on Lake Erie.

Lake Erie has something like 85% ice coverage right now, I think it’s been a while since it was that frozen over (although Erie is the most shallow of the Great Lakes so it’s always the one with the most ice coverage)

I’m watching The Bob Newhart Show on DVD as it’s only available on pay per view streaming and I wanted a new show to watch so I bought this. I have to say it’s hilarious. Almost done with season one and started Friday night. Waiting on my parents to get up so we can eat breakfast and also trying to decide what shirt to wear today lol. I need to get up and walk the dog I just don’t feel like it lol.

I used to watch that show when it first aired on TV, I loved “this is my brother Darryl, and this is my other brother Darryl”
