We haven't had enough snow to use the snowblower in 2 years. Expecting 5-8" and I'm dying to try out the impeller modification I did in September. I fired up the snowblower to make sure it's GTG.

Just got back from a run into the city. Wanted to look at a RAV4 and a Frontier (no there's no good reason to cross-shop). The RAV4 had some easily detected collision damage and I didn't feel like rolling around on the wet ground to see how bad it was; the Frontier I kinda liked but it'd be pooh'd by BITOG for being I4 & RWD in my clime. Didn't dare test drive it, I tend to get easily suckered into bad deals. I'm sure it had wrong things with it (fleet vehicle, so low miles and high idle hours I bet).
Did find some longer shelves for my home office, need to cut to size and do some organizing for the evening. Going to get 4 to 8 inches of snow tonight, not sure if I'll shovel tonight or leave it all for tomorrow.

Looking more into vacation and backup cities too just in case Miami gets to be out of price range. I get very excited about vacation lol. Tampa Bay is out since they won’t be playing at their normal stadium this year due to damage from the hurricane so that’s on the list as a possibility for next year. Kind of want to do the draw a city out of the hat deal and then that’s where we go lol.
Meanwhile I’m just waiting on the text hoping we are closed at work tomorrow for black ice and extreme temperatures. I want to watch something important on tv tomorrow too so that’s why I’m hoping we close.

Still scrolling car ads. Insanely impossible to buy something I want for a price I’m willing to pay. I can spend a few grand and get something that might last a year; ten grand might not last much more. Tired of moving my seat around every time we do musical drivers. And if a car goes down we have serious problems.
Crud, just realized I wasted 4 days, including today when I should have been working, looking for the unicorn that doesn't exist--the next vehicle. Just not going to find it, everything is too expensive or a poor decision (or both). Hate the fact that I usually window shop for a year or more before finally pulling the trigger out of desperation. Life was so much easier when I didn't care about my debt load.

Eating some chicken tenders and getting ready to relax and watch either tv or a movie. Too cold outside to do anything. Supposed to be 7 degrees in the morning when I leave for work wind chill around -13.

It's a balmy -13c with a healthy wind and -18 windchill. Tomorrow isn't much better but my buddy will swing by and we are going to fire up the sleds and put some miles on.
My oldest daughter is finishing up the last of her school work, I have steaks marinating and ribs on the Traeger. Could be worse. Heck, a couple days ago it was -37c with a heavy wind. Yesterday it was melting and blowing snow.

Getting ready to go get dinner and chill. I’m ready for warm weather lol. This weekend supposed to be in the 30s so that’s an improvement over what it’s been.
The grocery store had a post holiday sale on turkeys (50 cents a pound) so I bought a couple. I'm cooking one right now that I thawed on my back porch for the past several days. We've had sub 40f weather for the past week so that worked out well. I'm making a huge pot of stock with the carcass and I will make turkey dishes this week until everyone is tired of turkey again.

I’m getting ready to get in the shower. I just got into a bit of an argument with mom I found out she has been opening my mail and delaying giving it to me for a couple days. Not a big deal but enough to initiate a conversation with her about that. She has never been one who believes in keeping things private so she showed my dad too and began questioning me which is the part that made me angry. She wants access to my second bank account but that’s not happening. It drives me crazy but I try to let it pass.
I’ll probably watch an episode or two of SpongeBob before bed or maybe George Lopez because that’s always been a late night show tradition for me and the low rider theme song is a good one before bed haha

I cooked up some sausage and bacon the other day and I done pretty good. I’ve done it a ton on the griddle but never inside like then so I was happy about that.
Go to YouTube and watch Jamie Oliver 20 minute meals, there are lots of them, easy, and delicious.
I'm a pretty good cook, and love Jamie Oliver.
With the recent temperature swing, we are having frost issues. One of the watering bowls froze up. Needed a steam truck out to thaw the line. Heat tape down the 3 or so inch conduit wasn't enough and it froze quite far down. We adjusted the heat tape lower so hopefully it holds.
A good friend of mine popped by for coffee and BS. Then my oldest daughter joined in for a trail ride. Weather was great and snow conditions not bad.
