What are you doing right now?

I’m watching The Bob Newhart Show on DVD as it’s only available on pay per view streaming and I wanted a new show to watch so I bought this. I have to say it’s hilarious. Almost done with season one and started Friday night. Waiting on my parents to get up so we can eat breakfast and also trying to decide what shirt to wear today lol. I need to get up and walk the dog I just don’t feel like it lol.

Does Dixie like cold weather walks ?

I drove fuel truck from 2 am till noon, then made myself a loaded omelet, ate, now watching Insane Pools on tv. Should be going for a walk with the wife and dog, then working out, but not motivated today.

Cleaning the home office. Too many piles of things. Organizing some parts that I bought, then not sure what I'll do. There's some work projects that I could stand to catch up on. But I think I should first rediscover where I left my desk.

My girlfriend and I just got home from our visit to Niagara Falls and it looked really cool there today with all of the snow and ice 🤩

Shivering and coughing. Just woke up from a 3 hour fever dream, courtesy of my wife and her stupid airline travel.
That's a bummer. We both got hit with either a GI bug or the flu at the same time. At least 12 hours of fever, a full day of just lying in bed, in the dark, due to a massive headache. Not eating or drinking for a day, followed a slow ramp back to normal. Bleh. Haven't had a good cold in a while, at least it was quick and done with.

I frankensteined a #27 Noodler's Ahab fontain pen by mating it with a Fountain Pen Revolution Ultra Flex Nib. I kept the Noodler's ebonite (vulcanized rubber) feed and after doing some tests tomorrow I may swap the feed for the feed I bought with the FPR nib. The FPR nib is very nice, especially for a nib that costs under $20. It offers a line variation from just under 1 mm to a little over 2 mm with very little pressure. The Ahab is made from a bio-resin that is very impact-resistant. The pen comes with a syringe converter but it's possible to remove the converter and to eyedropper the whole pen with ink. The 6 ml ink capacity will make the ink last a long time. I had to heat-set the new nib to the feed which only took a minute. Heat-setting ensures the nib and feed match up perfectly without any leakage occurring. Heat setting is done by installing the nib and the feed into the pen, followed by dipping the nib in hot water while firmly pressing the nib and the feed together. The hot water makes the ebonite feed pliable, ensuring a perfect fit. The pen is for my nephew who enjoys writing and drawing with fountain pens.

My next project is a fountain pen holder out of walnut wood. I envision a design similar to a scaled-down katana display stand, but with tiered and offset cradles for four pens. I will use that for my Pelikan, Waterman, and Montblanc fountain pens.

I’m just settling in for my first night of spending an entire month with my dog in Niagara on the Lake. As many of you know, I’m still best friends with my ex wife and back in 2015 when we were still together we adopted a Golden Retriever from Greece. Ever since we split I have always looked after the dog (and her house) whenever she goes away on vacation. I really enjoy spending time with my dog but I also really enjoy being in Niagara on the Lake as it’s a very beautiful and historic town (I do historic walking tours here in addition to my Niagara Falls tours) I actually have two walking tours booked for next week here. And even though it’s only 80 miles away from where I live, the weather here is usually a little bit warmer. It’s not uncommon to get 60 degree weather here in February actually (although it’s not looking anywhere near that warm in the first part of February according to the 14 day forecast)
Here is a picture of my dog, his name is Mr Brown 😃
