What are you doing right now?

Came back from the Apple Store getting my iPhone 12 PM repaired since the cellular modem stopped working.

Did some research after looking at the invoice at the repair process. The part they replaced is the iPhone Rear System which almost means the whole phone except the screen and camera modules. Technician just swaps the old camera and screen to the new rear system. New battery, serial numbers, IMEI numbers so it's setup as a brand new phone.

$600 but didn't pay a dime thanks to AppleCare which I highly recommend getting.

Fighting this darn half "bump off" half "snap fit" clip design for a customer.... I tell ya plastic clips are the most underappreciated feature in most products

what a PITA

Just changed the gas valve on a Richmond bought March 2020.
They provided the valve and arrived FedEx next day (warranty) ..
(I changed the thermocouple too) …

Coworker got the week off so I get to drive his box truck today. Guy never heard of a trashcan. Had to clean out the used masks shoved in every crevice inside the cab, why?!

Watching "Man On the Rim" Docu-series about the history of man's movements around the Pacific Rim, from Asia to Tierra Del Fuego.

Going around to all the shoe stores trying to find some shoes. How hard is it these days to find a place that has more than three brands of shoes? Apparently the ones I like nobody sells anymore which is the Nike Torch 4.

Cleaned up some storm damage from the other day. Nasty plow wind ripped through the province. We were lucky with some littered branches and an old tree down in the pasture. We didn't even lose power. Others had boats and travel trailers flipped, a cabin lost its roof, damaged crops and on and on. Was passing through the little regional park and saw some ice shacks flipped as well.

As I finished up, my wife and oldest daughter came out to work our black Arab stallion. They got a show in mid August so they have him under saddle and it was pretty cool to see a horse we bred and our 12 year old doing a phenomenal job.

Pulled a P0761 code outta the 2004 Lexus LS430 again since it's been having shifting issues and been going into limp mode lately. Last repair I checked the resistance of the solenoids (from the ECU harness) and replaced the solenoids along with a fluid change. Escalated issues I looked up range from ECU replacement to burnt clutches needing a trans rebuild or replacement. 212,000mi I think it's lived a good life.

Thinking it might be a thousand dollar repair told my bro just to cut his losses and time to get rid of it. He's been wanting to get a truck to carry all his tools.
