What 0w16 are you using in your newer toyota?

Amsoil SS 0w16 has a Noack of 8.5%.

Toyota TGMO is 13% and loaded with VM.

My daughter is getting RAV4 soon so I had to look up maintenance items including oil. I'm thinking of running M1 ESP2 0w-20 in the engine.

M1 AF 0W-16 and Toyota OEM filter every 6 months regardless of mileage in our 2022 Toyota Rav4 Hybrid.

Royal purple pcmo makes a fine 0w-16, I did some research on this ,then opted out to a 0w-20, Pennzoil ultra-Platinum instead. and Fram ultra filter.

2024 Rav4 LE gas...Valvoline Advanced 0w16 and OEM Toyota filter changed at 1000. Will try GTMO or Idemitsu next and compare the engine noise at 3000 or 5000 or both lol

I saw this topic came up again recently. I recall a long thread last year that I thought put this to bed. But I guess not. The electronic oil pump speculation appears to be based on a video by the Car Care Nut saying the oil pump was electronic and calibrated for 0w-16. This being the reason for strict adherence to the 0w- 16 oil (not here to debates that specifically.)

Searched YouTube to try to find this video and figure out where this came from, but instead found this.

Running Castrol Edge 0W20 now and more 0W20 is up next. 0W16 is fine as it is allowed but it is not required. Nano oils like Triax might be though
