This is for a class project.
I will search myself soon, but want to check if anybody knows something already:

I'm looking for a website, where, upon entering a person's weight, and amount of wt he/she wants to lose (in wt or in calories), and the amt of time he wants to lose it in, will suggest the correct foods to eat daily to reach that goal.
eg: a 176 lbs person wants to lose 11 lbs in 5 weeks; what should/can the person eat daily?

does anybody know if such a website/service exists anywhere?

Thanks a lot

This calculator is not exactly what you want, but it may still be of interest.

1 kg fat equals 9,000 calories. If you know that, you can calculate the required caloric deficit required to lose x-amount of "fat mass" in x-time.

Other factors are of course important an come into play. People who lose weight only through dieting, which is failure-bound, lose generally also a significant amount of muscle tissue, which is of course less than ideal. A properly balanced diet (with low glycemic index carbs and fair amount of protein) with correct caloric intake and exercise to increase metabolism are key to losing weight and especially to MAINTAINING a healthy body mass index.
