I don't have any real car 'pose' shots, just this one from after a wax job

and the reason we bought a wagon:

camping gear, climbing gear, two inflatable stand-up paddle boards - all fit without a box on top. Helps so much with MPG on road trips.

2016 VW 1.8T, 5spd stick (yes the non AWD 1.8T models are 5 spd)
lifetime average mpg: 38.x - gasser, not a TDI
'base' model - cheap to purchase. 15" tires - cheap to replace. Yet same motor as TiGeo :)
Great value, all-around use vehicle so far. Also likely it has seen more dirt roads than most SUVs and trucks.

Nice, but can it carry a full-sized clothes washer and dryer like a Subaru Impreza hatchback?

2002 saab 9-5 wagon. Yeah took my old washer and dryer to recycling last weekend and was able to shut the back hatch as well. got plenty of looks at the station when I backed in opened my rear hatch and pulled a full size washer and dryer out of the back.

I have had a 95 Caprice wagon since '13, bought with 82K and one owner. An EMS pilot I worked with was into B-bodies as well and bought a 96 Roadmaster in '17 with 66K. Unfortunately, he was killed in a farming accident in Oct. 2018. His widow advertised the RM for sale the Friday before this past Thanksgiving and I was able to buy it from her. It has 75K on it now and is in great shape. I could not be more excited about it if it had been a new Corvette! He's riding with me every time I drive it.
