VW 508 00 in short supply

I went to buy some oil for my 2025 Atlas VW spec 508 00 and Walmart was out of that spec. Is this an issue already due to the War in Iran or is this just this specific store. I may try another later

Walmart doesn't have what I need for oil lately but have been finding what I need on amazon.

I bought several jugs of ESP 0w-20 a couple weeks ago at Walmart. They were flush with it.

I have always found this highly inaccurate. Everytime I have ordered for pick up or actually went to buy jugs of oil, they were out of stock, or had only one. I only buy online now, after another fail on Monday.

I just order oil and kit from FCP auto parts. Easy button and don’t set foot in store.

The lower number, 502, 504 VW specs are just higher viscosity than the newer, 508 The lower other numbers than 508 will be a higher viscosity. No harm to the EA888 engine.

That might be oversimplifying it to the point of inaccuracy.
I'd prefer 504 to 502 for a number of reasons besides viscosity.

Why? Which engine? Some need high SAPS. If low SAPS isn't required, what's the benefit? I'd prefer the less hamstrung additive package.

I did not. Did you? I am replying to you. Did you see the post I replied to? You didn't even mention 508. You discussed 504 vs 502.
