Greetings to all, I scored a case of SYNPOWER 5W-20 when Kragens had its recent rebate. I have searched the forums for feedback on this product and have come up with nearly zero.My 07 civic (1.8L)is due the 1st oil change and would appreciate any comments.From what I have read,this oil contains little or no Moly,where as the other 5W-20 oils for Hondas seem to contain alot

I think Synpower oils do contain moly...
I'm 4200 miles into a 5K run with SynPower 5W20 in 3.0L app at 31K miles on odimeter.
Two things are very weird. I need to do another run with MC reference oil to validate what's going on so this data may be useless by itself.
Oil Consumption has started. It looks like it could be down 1/2 qt at 4140 miles. The previous run with QS Q-T was off 4qt and the PP before that was zero loss, both at 5K.
MPG over the first 3125 miles of the run was 20.6 (152g or about 8 tanks). QS and PP runs were 19.3 and 18.9 respectively over 5K miles. During last 1016 miles on hwy trip MPG was 23.1, previous trip high was 21.6.
One last thing. I had the low oil pressure light go on for less than 1/2 second yesterday when starting.
As I said, very wierd at 31K miles.

Does Valvoline plus up SynPwr with cleaners the same as their dino?

Containing little to o moly has shown no problems with wear numbers. It just depends on what the mfgr thinks should go into the oil - there are plenty of other antiwear additives found in synpower that do not show up on a normal UOA (search dyson's posts)
that is weird. you leaking oil slowly from somewhere (possibly not tightening the oil filter enough?) i have used M1, Synpower, GTX, Durablend in my tacoma v6 4x4 and it almost has 100k miles on it and i have NEVER had oil consumption.... NEVER. all were in 5w30 or 10w30
