Valvoline VR1 10w30 in a non race car vehicle?

The recomended oil for my engine is synthetic 0w40, would the 10w30 valvoline be okay to un in it

My '00 MB E430 recommended M1 0W40 and I'm using xW20 in it for the last 3 years. The engine was a little noisy the last 2-3 years of M1 0W40, from 2006 till 2008, it is much quieter now with thinner oil. Your engine may behave differently with thinner oil.
